okay. so with the drama of staging points left aside for a while..
back to levelling BLU.
get a nice party going, and one of the two DRKs disconnects. okay, not too much of a loss, he was Taru

so the PT leader replaces him with a 41 THF/NIN. not too bad, i /check his gear.
WTF? Lizard gloves? Lizard Ledelsens?
whats with the LV17 kit?
i mean, so the MNK/WAR we have with us is in Battle Gloves (Lv14 but they have +4 ATK and EVA..)
at least he has an empress pin, fuma kyahan and a brown belt.

and i chucked my ImmortalArmy sack. the reason?
When you log in to a Linkshell you get the LSMES.. a daily message that the shellholder or sackholders can set. like an announcement.

which was okay.
The Sackholder - a former member of BritishGeezers - had changed it back to

(went with Aqaia and Tobyjuggler. stormed past the chigoes, got 1 Imp aggro that we got help with, and then Aki and Toby got lumped by Jnun and a skele in the Reef, i made it most of the rest of the way till i got hit by 5 Imps... man..)
(went again with Raziel and Centuris. 3 Chigoe Deaths - who knew they aggroed to scent? and again a wipe by an Imp, a Kraken, and Lamia No.19 in the same spot..)
(3/10. piss easy clearance of the Mire now i know chigs go by scent. dodged the Imps.
used the "Run like fuck and Reraise later" tactic which, despite costing 6 reraises and 1800 XP (including a delevel) got me the staging point. I am now officially a happy bunny. or rarab.)

see, the guide i had said that to get to Dvucca Isle you needed to go through Caerdarva, through 6 screens of Arrapagho Reef, and back into Caerdarva.
You don't.
You go Nashmau -> Caerdarva WEST exit. Into the Alzdaal ruins. back into Caerdarva on the Isle. Hug the right wall.
and Bob is your uncle. so thanks to Tobyjuggler and Maea/Batfink i'm now 5/5 on the staging points.

part of me feels dirty

about 2 months or so back i joined and got made a sackholder for an RP Linkshell, called RPGnarok.
promised to be an all in character shell
and the first thing i hear in LS chat?
"OMG Ding WAR7! w00t!"

now with the exception of my flatmate who says "BRB", i know no-one who says OMG or anything like that in the real world.
so i chucked the sack.

cos i also felt like i was "betraying" the Geezers.

and today?
I've joined an all BLU Linkshell called ImmortalArmy.

see, i think this will give me a load more info and support for the whole BLU side of me. which i have decided, as i've said before, is going to be my "Main"

NM camping why bother?

nearly two bloody hours we were at it....
Bomb King, Doppleganger Dio and Doppleganger Gog in Outer Horutoto ruins.
wound up with a shedload of Cards and a few pinches of bomb ash.

Life played tag with all the Two-Cardians in there.

Ashes, Ashes, we all fall down.

Still, Life helped me getting my Gusgen Key for RSE ^^

so! i finally solo'd the remaining 250 EXP and hit 40.
only to realise that i couldnt afford new armour / kit (apart from the Combat Caster's Scimitar that i'd already bought). i *know* i can CP buy the stuff but at 8k a pop thats not likely to happen for all of it - plus, i really dont like the Comabt Caster's Cloak (i always like to have headgear..)

The last party i was in - wow that was fun. chaining Beetles in Crawler's Nest was excellent.
HOWEVER someone (PT leader) decided to head off to Yhoat to fight Soldier Crawlers. Everyone said "yes". The WHM cast Tele. and 2 PT members got left behind, as tehy didnt have the Gate Crystal.
WTF? why not say something when the PT leader suggested it?

after 4 hours in The Crawler's Nest with a spanish party (all from HamHamClub, a very populous ES only LS on Ragnarok...) i'm about 3k short of level 40.


go me! i really enjoyed the semi monotony of levelling there . got to watch "Mulholland Drive" and 4 eps of Rayearth whilst levelling.

oh - and Jet Stream?

i have been playing more, though.
something to do with not having a job.

I now, however, have unlocked all 18 subjobs (managed to solo COR in the end, oy that was fun, and got a lucky free tele to Xarcabard for the final Summoner light..)

once again i'm on the "level BLU to the exclusion of all else" which may or may not include tonight's Promyvion-Holla. we'll see when we get there.

Unfortunately i havent been levelling *as much* as i'd like, i've gotten BLU to 36 (now my highest level job snehsneh!), stopped using my Centurion's Scale and Silver Mog belt in favour of Merc Captain's Doublet and belt, and changed my Centurion's sword over for a Republic Sword (+1 DMG, and +6 HP/MP in areas outside nation's control).

The Holy sword i bought, it turns out, was pap.

and i'm getting mightily fed up with Garlaige Citadel.

still. 4 levels and i can quest for the BLU AF sword "Immortal's Scimitar".
fingers crossed that will be by the weekend....

so. I'm now 6 colours in to unlocking SMN. I've done 4 Selbina clay quests. I've done a stackload of gardening, and even more profitably, buying Wildgrass seeds in Whitegate and selling them in Windy.
we've had a massive return to the Linkshell - many names that i've not seen for months - and the help has abounded. except for unlocking COR, which i'm about to try solo-ing naked (if it worked for PUP it may work for COR...)
