grrr!

so. levelling is boooooring.

i decided to unlock NIN, for subbing to blu. why not, everyone else is doing it.

meet up with Warmaster and Yinchie, who are also doing the mish.
port bastok, cutscenes. check.
Korroloka tunnel, run to the ???, check.
3 korroloka leeches, check.
back to port bastok, check.
Norg.
oh shit, think i. never been that way.
Jeuno >> airship >> Kazham >> Yuhtunga Jungle >> Sea Serpent Grotto in stealth mode >> Norg.
easy!
NIN quest guy, check.
we decide to start the SAM quest too, why not.
sacred sprig, oriental steel, yadda yadda.
we tele: dem, and head to the cave. some of the LS come to help - a 65 blu, 59 pld and 63 sam.
first forger for warmaster dies in about 4 seconds. he gets his bomb steel.

wait and respawn mine. it dies faster, if that was possible.
and one of the other party misses, hits "cast lot" and outlots me for the steel.
shit. now i gots to head *back* to norg.

and the gutting thing is?
the guy that got it was the SAM...

In which Krystall takes an airship ride

i did it. I finally got BLU to 25.
no more clippers pugs and giants for me for a while.
I headed off to kazham and re learnt very, VERY quickly why i hate that place too.

high level aggro-ing goblins.

fortunately we were camped behind one of the walls, and our puller was a very good NIN-WAR with a *lot* of Evasion, so we only suffered 1 death, the first time we tried to take one on.

stil,, i got one and a half levels, whcih was cool, and burned through about 8 yag drinks (oh my aching wallet)

but the bit that sticks most in my mind was my airship ride over there...

a whole bunch of guys, from the same LS, mostly in AF armour (yes, that *is* full BLU af on shadie there..).
They were stood there in silence, apart from Monblan who was /emote-ing like no-one's business.

must have been an all-JP party.

i've said it before... BLU af is going to be sweet.

gardening sucks

well, that was a waste of gil.
i'm talking about the near 100k i've laid out on tree cuttings and saplings.
i mean, 3 chunks of Rock salt? 6k a stack? from a 20k bag?
gimme a break.

i'm going to try it one more time. once more, with Troy, doing a full 10 bags in 10 porcelain pots with 10 maple tables.

but only once more.

I also think that when my next set of seeds is used up for Aloura i'm going to wind her down, getshot of all her items and either delete or use her as a straight mule. i dont think i can be bothered with 2 mules doing gardening.

I'm also going to stick to Purple Mage for a while. it's been fun enough pratting round with other job combos but since i'm now out of the dunes (and nearly enough out of Qufim) i'ma gonna press on till i *have* to switch back to redmage , so i can take blue to 75.
yeah right, i hear you say.

to be honest i dont know myself if i am going to be able to do it. i think, though with a little support its do-able. especially now since the BLU AF has been made available i have something more to aim for.

besides, more Blue Mage play time means i get to use {Bludgeon} more

why?

okay. get this.

MMORPG money sellers.

Lineage][.
you *have* to buy adena to stay up to date with gear in-game. there is no possible way that you can grind enough mobs to stay current, because the cash drop rate is so low that by the time you have enough Ad. for wooden armour (level 10 warrior kit) you're level 17 and can use Leathers.

City of Heroes.
there's no money system = no moneysellers.

WoW.
not quite so prevalent as in L2, its not needed so much but if you *have* to have a set of uber kit and cant have it, yeah, you can buy gold.

FFXI.
why?
for an outlay of about 30k i can buy me a stack of grain seeds.
with a little patience these will become about 6 stacks of Taru Rice.
which sell for about 11k per stack
or for 10k i can buy a stack of vegetable seeds that will become 4 stacks of turnips that sell for 11k per stack.

it's just.
not.
needed.
